Wallet & KYC

The Cricplay wallet and KYC explainer.

What KYC actually requires, how deposits credit, how withdrawals process, how wallet credit differs from cash balance, and how to keep your wallet secure.

Section One

KYC: what the platform is actually asking for.

KYC stands for Know Your Customer. The platform is required by Indian law to verify the identity of every player before processing withdrawals. The verification has two parts: identity verification and address verification. Most platforms accept PAN for identity and Aadhaar for address.

PAN at first deposit

The platform asks for PAN at first deposit because the platform is required to report winnings above a threshold to the income-tax department. PAN is mandatory for any cash table. The platform matches the name on PAN to the name on your bank account. A mismatch is the most common cause of first-withdrawal rejection.

Aadhaar at first withdrawal

Some platforms ask for Aadhaar at first withdrawal, others at registration. The honest platforms explain which one and why. The dishonest ones ask for Aadhaar after the first deposit, when the player is already committed. Read the platform’s KYC page before you register.

Bank account verification

Most platforms do a small credit-and-debit verification on your bank account: the platform credits a small amount (commonly 1 rupee) and asks you to confirm the exact amount in the KYC form. The verification confirms the bank account is in your name and that you have access to it.

Section Two

The wallet: cash balance, bonus credit, winnings.

The wallet shows three numbers: the cash balance (deposited cash minus withdrawn cash minus losses), the bonus credit (unplayed bonus that has not been cleared), and the winnings balance (cash winnings from play that can be withdrawn).

Cash balance

The cash balance is the money you deposited minus the entry fees you have paid. The cash balance is fully withdrawable at any time. The platforms that restrict cash-balance withdrawals are the platforms whose withdrawal policies you should read carefully.

Bonus credit

The bonus credit is the unplayed portion of any welcome bonus or referral bonus. The bonus credit cannot be withdrawn directly; only the winnings from bonus-credit play can be withdrawn, and only after the wagering requirement has been cleared. Read the bonus terms carefully.

Winnings balance

The winnings balance is the sum of the cash you have won from play, minus the cash you have withdrawn. The winnings balance is fully withdrawable at any time, subject to the platform’s published withdrawal fee schedule.

Section Three

Deposits and withdrawals in detail.

Deposits on Indian rummy platforms run on UPI by default. NetBanking and card deposits are available as backups. The UPI rail is fast and inexpensive. The first deposit is slower because the platform runs a name match against your KYC file; subsequent deposits credit inside 60 seconds.

Minimum and maximum deposits

Most platforms set a minimum deposit of 100 rupees and a maximum deposit of 100,000 rupees per transaction. The limits are anti-money-laundering controls, not editorial positions. If you need to deposit more than 100,000 rupees in a single transaction, contact customer-care before you initiate the deposit.

Minimum and maximum withdrawals

Most platforms set a minimum withdrawal of 50 rupees and a maximum withdrawal of 100,000 rupees per transaction. Some platforms apply a daily withdrawal limit; the limit is published in the wallet section. Above the daily limit, the withdrawal is queued for the next day.

Withdrawal fees

Most platforms do not charge a withdrawal fee on UPI withdrawals. Some charge a small fee (1–2%) on card withdrawals. The fee schedule is published in the wallet section. Read it before you make your first deposit.

Section Four

Keeping your wallet secure.

The platform secures the wallet with two-factor authentication, encryption at rest, and session management. The user side of the security model is just as important. The five rules below cover the user side.

Use a strong unique password

The password for your gaming account should not match the password for any other account. A password manager is the cleanest way to generate and remember a strong unique password. The platforms that do not allow password-manager paste are the platforms whose login flows are outdated; do not work around the limitation by using a simpler password.

Enable two-factor authentication

Most platforms support SMS-based two-factor authentication on the sign-in flow. Enable it. The two-factor prompt arrives only on devices you have not signed in from before; the platforms that support device management show you the list of trusted devices in the security settings.

Never share your OTP

The OTP is the second factor in the sign-in flow. The platform’s actual customer-care team will never ask for your OTP. If you receive a call asking for it, hang up and write to the platform’s customer-care through the in-app route. The OTP-sharing scam is the single most common account compromise in Indian rummy.

Section Five

Troubleshooting common wallet and KYC issues.

The issues below are the ones the editorial desk sees reported most often. The fixes are editorial; if they do not resolve your issue, the customer-care chapter has the escalation routes.

Deposit not credited

If the deposit is not credited inside 30 minutes, the most common cause is a UPI rail delay. Wait 60 minutes before contacting support. If the deposit is still not credited after 60 minutes, contact support with your UPI transaction reference.

Withdrawal stuck in processing

If the withdrawal has been in “processing” status for longer than the platform’s stated window, contact support. The most common cause is a name mismatch between the KYC file and the bank account; the team can resolve it inside 24 hours.

KYC rejected

If the KYC review rejects your documents, the rejection message will name the specific issue (image quality, name mismatch, document type). Re-upload the document with the issue addressed. Most KYC rejections resolve on the second upload.

Bonus not credited

If the welcome bonus or referral bonus does not appear in your wallet inside 24 hours of the qualifying action, contact support. The most common cause is a missing referral code or a deposit made from a different UPI handle than the registered one.

Section Six

Responsible wallet management.

The wallet is a tool. Like any tool, it works best when used with discipline. The practices below are the responsible wallet-management stack the editorial desk recommends.

Set a session budget before you deposit

Decide how much you are willing to lose in a single session before you make the first deposit. Convert that amount into a number of hands at the table size you intend to play. Stop when you reach either the deposit cap or the hand cap; do not deposit more to extend the session.

Use the platform’s deposit cap

Set a weekly deposit cap on the platform’s responsible-play page. The cap is your protection against the moment when the session has gone badly and you want to deposit more to chase the losses. The cap is set in advance; the platform enforces it.

Take a session break

After 45 minutes of play, take a 15-minute break. Stand up. Drink water. Do not look at your phone. The break is the moment when the editorial desk has the strongest opinion: most players skip it, and most players who skip it regret it later.

Withdraw winnings promptly

If you have a winning session, withdraw the winnings promptly. Leave the winnings in the wallet and they become part of the next session’s bankroll; the next session may not be a winning one. Withdrawing the winnings locks in the win.

Reading the wallet

What the three balances actually are, and what is not withdrawable yet

A rummy platform wallet has three balances, not one. The cash balance is the reader's own money, deposited through UPI or net banking. The bonus balance is the platform's money, credited as a bonus or a referral. The winnings balance is the reader's winnings from played hands. The three balances are tracked separately because they clear differently.

Cash balance withdrawals are the fastest. The reader has already cleared KYC at the deposit step, so the first withdrawal is the moment the platform learns whether the bank account on file matches the PAN on file. The first withdrawal is the slowest for that reason; subsequent withdrawals are quicker once the account has been verified.

Bonus balance withdrawals require the wagering requirement to be cleared first. The page describes what counts toward the requirement, how the requirement is measured, and the responsible-player rule the desk recommends: set a deposit cap before the bonus credits, so the wagering requirement is reached inside the deposit cap.

Winnings balance withdrawals are the same as cash balance withdrawals, mechanically. The difference is the source of the funds: winnings come from played hands, not from deposits. The platform treats winnings as the reader's own money for withdrawal purposes, and the page reflects that.

Before you sit at the next table

Rummy is a skill game. Skill games still deserve a sober frame.

The responsible-play chapter collects the verified helpline numbers, self-exclusion guidance and state-wise advisories. Read it before your first deposit, not after your first loss.
