Who runs Cricplay, and what the publication actually is.

The Cricplay editorial publication is a separate entity from the gaming platform it links to. Below explains the two, who operates each, and what the editorial mission is.

Cricplay is an editorial publication focused on rummy rules, formats, mechanics, platform usability and responsible play. Editorial mission

Why the publication and the platform are separate.

The separation between the editorial publication and the gaming platform is the publication’s strongest editorial position. A site that operates the platform cannot honestly review the platform; the conflict of interest is unavoidable. A site that publishes independent editorial content and links out to a platform it does not control can be honest, because the editorial coverage and the affiliate relationship are independent.

Material changes trigger updates

Mistakes are corrected publicly

Corrections

If you spot a factual error on the site, write to the editorial team with the page URL and the specific claim that is incorrect. The team investigates every correction request and, where warranted, appends a correction note to the page with a timestamp.

Pitches

The editorial team does not accept outside pitches. The team covers what its editors decide to cover, not what outside parties suggest. A pitch is not a guarantee of coverage and will not receive a personal response.

Why the publication and the platform are separate legal entities

The Cricplay editorial publication and the linked gaming platform are operated by separate legal entities, on purpose. The publication exists to review platforms; the platform exists to host rummy games. The two are linked by a referral arrangement, not by an ownership arrangement. The separation is the structural reason the editorial desk can publish a negative review of the linked platform without that review threatening the desk's funding.

The editorial mission is the paragraph the desk writes first and re-reads most often. The desk reviews rummy platforms because the reader who is about to deposit real money deserves a verified, route-specific, state-aware read of what they are depositing into. The desk does not review non-rummy games because the editorial method is calibrated for rummy, and the desk has not extended the method to other verticals.

The editorial team is small by design. The desk consists of a review lead, a fact-checker, and a state-law researcher. The desk does not employ freelance writers because the fact-check loop has to close inside the team, and the desk has not built the workflow that would close it across freelancers. The team is named on the about page so the reader can attribute the verdict to a person.

The funding paragraph is the most-skimmed paragraph on the page, and the one the desk wishes the reader would read. The desk is funded by the referral fees from the linked platform, and from display advertising on the newsroom. The desk does not accept paid reviews. The desk discloses every funding source on the page so the reader can weigh the funding against the verdict.
